World’s Brainiest?

The topic on the BBC’s midweek quiz was old computers.

I remember the first time we got one, It was a gift for the kids.
The Spectrum 48k, rubber keyboard. I can still hear the squeal now as
the tape loaded.

The kid’s got little use, it was dad that hogged the machine with my first endeavors at programming BASIC.

Then we got a few games, like  
Jet Set Willy and Manic Miner.

It was when we started getting into the adventure games that we began the arguing over who plays with it.

We upgraded later to the 128k machine.
Super fast!

Those were the days.

 Let’s load another game…..
