World’s Brainiest?

I have not posted for a while. The reason?

My family.

There is one member that we don’t see a lot of because he lives in America. But we had word that he was coming over, so we have had a roller coaster of a time getting things ready for his visit.

He is now over.

We were able to have all the family together and it was brilliant!

Families tend to drift apart, particularly son’s. It was that way with me. But to have a family that is still close and get together occasionally is great.

I love them all!

I am not one to enjoy get together’s or party’s but when you have all that are close and you love it is special.

What’s the point of this post? Well it’s just to say.

These last few weeks have been GREAT!

We have several cats in our house and through the years I have never thought until now that they never work!

Yes I know, I am slow in catching on sometimes.

They eat, sleep, play and occasionally procreate, but they never work. They do very little for themselves. They get us to feed them, us to give them toys to play with. They don’t even have to wipe their backsides after using the litter tray.

Now what is it with us? We have to go to out to work, cook our own food and have little time for recreation never mind a  cat nap!. On top of all that we also have to clean up after the cats.

Wish I lived like  a cat you might say.

It’s not possible.

There is nobody on this earth who can live like a cat. OK there are some that are able to just live at home doing nothing just eating,  sleeping, playing and not going out to work.  But I bet they wipe their own backsides…

I hope…

Goodbye 2008!

I feel 2009 will be a prosperous year. How can I say that you may ask when the whole world is in the throws of financial hardship?

Well I have a cunning plan! I am going to make a lot of new friends, and friends are what make the world go round.

Friends are there to support and care for us through difficult times. I will help them whenever they need me. I will write to them daily, checking on their welfare and making sure they do not need anything. I would bung ‘em a couple of bob if they were short of cash. Is that not what friends do? I am sure they will reciprocate.

 Here is my list of my 1062 prospective friends, are you one?…MY FRIENDS

I wonder if they have a list of friends too?

Maybe you are reading this because of the Internet Explorer scare…

 It was highlighted a few days ago that Internet Explorer had a serious flaw that could be compromised by hackers and some were recommending that you use Firefox instead. If you installed Firefox, maybe browsed the Add On section and found the Quiz Addicts’ Toolbar which led you here, I say welcome to Firefox. In my opinion a lot better browser with a large number of useful Add Ons.

Internet Explorer is now patched and maybe you want to go back… Please don’t go! Get to know Firefox and all it’s shortcuts here are some examples, It can do MORE!

Unfortunately no browser is ever 100% safe, and Firefox too has had it’s scares. But It is one I recommend.

 Why?

Because it makes surfing sooooo easy.

Anything for an easy life…

I went to my son’s wedding yesterday.

Thankfully everything went to plan. There were some hairy moments but everyone coped well.

The reception was good.

I am not a party goer, if anything I am the proverbial couch potato, I like my home comforts. The DJ though made the night especially when he donned a gorilla suit and started playing the drums using long balloons as drumsticks to the Phil Collins song In The Air Tonight.

Throughout the evening everyone was buying my lad his favorite tipple, JD and Coke. Well as you might expect as the evening wore on they started to take effect.. I and his mum have had more hugs and kisses off him in that night than he ever gave us when bringing him up.

Seeing him married is another proud moment that I can store with the rest.

I wish you both a wonderful future together, and remember the secret to  good marriage is the phrase
